<p>This study examines the influence of childhood experiences, marriage, employment, and gender-specific factors on homicide, using both life course criminology and feminist criminology frameworks. Through semi-structured interviews with four participants at a medium security prison for women in Ghana, data was analyzed using Reflective Thematic Analysis (RTA). The findings reveal that motivations for homicide often arise from gendered experiences, such as intimate partner violence and socio-economic pressures, including revenge stemming from family conflict, impulsive actions, diabolical manipulations, and perceived wrongful accusations. The policy implications suggest a critical need for gender-sensitive interventions to enhance our understanding of female homicide offenders.</p>
