<p>Human security challenges in the Global South present significant obstacles to sustainable development and well-being, particularly for vulnerable populations. Despite the critical nature of these issues, there is a noticeable lack of comprehensive studies in this region examining human security across all its domains. It underscores the urgent need for a thorough investigation into human security in the Global South. Employing a structured methodology based on the PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews) framework, this review systematically synthesises empirical studies across the seven key domains of human security. The findings highlight a concerning rise in human security challenges, disproportionately affecting women, children, refugees, people living in poverty, and marginalised communities. These groups face heightened risks from poverty, health, conflict, limitation in rights, and environmental degradation. Given the persistence of human security issues in the Global South, mitigating their impact requires enhanced data collection systems, more potent intersectional approaches, and coordinated multi-sectoral efforts to develop sustainable, long-term solutions.</p>
