<p>The coir industry, a significant agro-based sector in India, plays a crucial role in rural employment generation and environmental sustainability. India accounts for over 80% of global coir production, with Kerala and Tamil Nadu being the leading contributors. This study examines the export performance and growth trends of selected coir products coir pith, coir fibre, curled coir, coir rugs, and other varieties within the framework of small-scale enterprises. Using secondary data sourced from the annual reports of the Coir Board over 13&#xa0;years (2008–2021), key indicators such as Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), trend values, and year-on-year growth percentages were analysed. The findings indicate that coir pith exhibited the highest growth rate in both quantity and export value, positioning it as the most promising product among the selected categories. The study provides insights into the developmental trajectory of the coir industry and highlights the need for policy support to enhance its global competitiveness.</p>
