摘要

The study documents the first detailed work on sedimentary facies from the Upper Jurassic (Late Tithonian) sequence of the Kolar Dungar Member, Bhadasar Formation, Jaisalmer Basin. Nine sedimentary facies have been identified from the base to top of the Kolar Dungar Member and inferred lower to middle shoreface, foreshore and marginal marine depositional environment. The pattern of sedimentary facies indicates the sequence experienced several transgressive-regressive cycles, with a major regression occurring at the top of the conglomeratic sandstone, which may be indicative of the Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary extinction in the Jaisalmer Basin.
