Petrotectonic evolution of Himalaya and Trans-Himalaya

摘要

The Himalaya, one of the active mountain belts, and Trans-Himalaya have attracted the attention of geologists worldwide. Indian researchers have made significant contributions between 2020 and 2024 to understand the tectonic elements and tectono-magmatic evolution of the Himalaya and Trans-Himalaya. A wealth of field, petrographic, mineral, and whole-rock elemental, petrochronological, and isotopic data was published, providing deep insights into the contribution of different geological components in the geodynamic evolution of the Himalaya and Trans-Himalaya. The research highlights on the petrotectonic evolution of Himalaya and Trans-Himalaya conducted during the last four years by Indian researchers are presented and discussed briefly.
