Structural, metamorphic and tectonic studies on the Sikkim Himalaya (2020–2024)

This paper is a report on the structural and metamorphic studies published on the Sikkim Himalaya in the period 2020–2024. This is part of the contribution to the INSA National Committee for the IUGS comprehensive report on the ‘Geoscience Research in India: The Indian Report to IUGS 2020–2024’. The report covers studies on the structure and metamorphism of the Sikkim area, and their implications to the tectonic evolution of this part of the eastern Himalaya. No attempt is made by the authors of this report to make inferences on any aspect of the region based on the studies cited in this paper.
