<p>Achieving high vaccination rates for infectious diseases remains a global challenge. This scoping review explores what visual arts strategies exist in this regard and their impact on vaccination uptake. A search was performed on Medline (Ovid), Embase (Ovid), American Psychological Association (APA) PsycINFO (Ovid), CINAHL (EBSCOhost), SCOPUS, and Web of Science, with a focus on search terms related to visual arts strategies, including both digital and print art techniques. 8531 citations were identified; following a quality assessment using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT), 18 studies were eligible for inclusion. A review of the 18 eligible studies revealed numerous visual arts approaches that can enhance vaccination uptake, grouped primarily into two categories: digital and print strategies. Digital strategies, including video games, videos, animations, and movies, were effective in increasing vaccination rates in eleven eligible studies. Print-based arts strategies, such as brochures, infographics, and posters, were found to increase vaccination uptake in four eligible studies. Traditional print-based arts strategies, which included brochures and flyers, showed efficacy but required nuanced tailoring to optimize their impact on vaccine uptake. Visual arts strategies are promising for addressing vaccine hesitancy and supporting global vaccination efforts. Based on the barriers and facilitators identified in the visual arts strategies for vaccination uptake, clinicians and policy-makers must tailor visual arts strategies to the at-risk populations and consider the cultural nuances of a given strategy to succeed.</p><p>Registration: Open Science Framework (<a href="https://osf.io/4udfe">https://osf.io/4udfe</a>)</p>
