Design and implementation of a three-phase active power factor corrector for avionics equipment
摘要
This paper presents the design, implementation, and experimental validation of a power factor correction (PFC) circuit for avionics applications operating at 115 VRMS, 400 Hz, and 3.0 kW three-phase power. In aircraft applications, improving power factor and minimizing reactive power are critical to enhancing system efficiency and reducing overall losses. The proposed PFC topology uses active compensation to ensure stable operation and high power quality under high-frequency conditions. Comprehensive design considerations, including component selection and control strategy, are presented. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach, demonstrating enhanced power factor, reduced total harmonic distortion (THD), and improved overall system efficiency. This work provides a reliable and efficient solution for power factor compensation in high-frequency aerospace power systems.
