Analytical calculation method for global loss of DAB converter considering modulation mode
摘要
Accurate loss analysis in dual active bridge (DAB) DC-DC converters is critical for performance optimization. Current research predominantly focuses on individual switching devices or magnetic components, while the overall impact of phase shift control modes on total converter losses remains inadequately addressed. This paper proposes an analytical calculation method for global loss characterization in DAB converters, specifically addressing the dependency of global losses on phase shift control modes. The proposed method comprehensively considers the effects of excitation waveforms, phase shift control modes, current harmonics, and frequency variation effects in conductor regions on global loss. To validate the proposed loss analysis method, a 24 V/100 V, 20 kHz DAB converter prototype is built. Loss measurements and calculations are compared under different phase shift control modes, control degrees of freedom, and load conditions. The average calculation error is within 5%, validating the effectiveness of the proposed method.
