Comparative study of different hybrid excitation electrical machines with doubly salient poles
摘要
Due to their advantages of simple structure, high power density, high efficiency, magnetic flux adjustment capability, hybrid excitation electrical machines with doubly salient poles, including doubly salient machines, flux switching machines, flux reversing machines, etc., have been widely researched recently. To compare electromagnetic performances, this paper presents a comparative study among a novel 18/11 hybrid excitation doubly salient machine (HEDSM), two different 12/10 hybrid excitation flux switching machine (HEFSM) structures, and a 12/10 hybrid excitation flux reversing machine (HEFRM), all of which have the same stator/rotor diameters and axial length. The working principles of the proposed machines are analyzed. The electromagnetic properties of the four kinds of optimized motors under no-load and load conditions are compared by finite element analysis (FEA), including flux linkage, back-EMF, torque characteristics, field regulation capability, losses, and efficiencies. Finally, an 18/11 pole HEDSM prototype is produced, and the theoretical analysis is verified by experimental results.
