Rekonstruktion des vorderen Kreuzbandes in Remnant-preserving-Technik

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), an essential, stabilizing ligament in the knee joint, maintains structural integrity and functional stability during sports activities. Injuries to the ACL are among the most common joint injuries and can lead to significant impairments in quality of life. In recent years, there have been significant advances in the understanding of the importance of ACL preservation and the optimization of surgical techniques for ACL reconstruction. Traditional approaches to ACL reconstruction include the use of autologous tendon or allogeneic tissue transplants. Continued optimization of the ACL suture technique and the introduction of remnant-preserving surgical techniques represent a further development in terms of biological augmentation and preservation of the ACL. In this article, the current state of the art, the surgical technique, the advantages and disadvantages as well as the clinical results in the field of ACL preservation using the remnant-preserving surgical technique are presented.
