Endoprothetische Versorgung einer Kniegelenkluxation – eine Alternative in der Akutsituation?

We present a 66-year-old woman who suffered a knee joint dislocation as a result of ultra-low-velocity injury. After emergency reduction, X‑ray, CT and MRI diagnostics, we implanted a coupled knee joint prosthesis in the acute phase. The result is very satisfactory and shows that endoprosthetic treatment of a knee dislocation is a possible alternative to reconstructive procedures under certain circumstances.
