<p>This study investigates the relationships between smoking-related variables, adherence to a smoking cessation program, and the intervention's impact on various levels of tobacco addiction within the context of the Smoking Cessation Program (SCP). The study included 190 participants enrolled in the SCP, assessing physical, psychological, and behavioral nicotine addiction, motivation to quit smoking, craving intensity, and smoking-related behaviors. Despite a 65% dropout rate, participants completing the SCP achieved significant reductions in daily cigarette consumption and carbon monoxide (CO) levels (p &lt; 0.001). The most significant reductions were observed among those with severe addictions. Participants with more previous attempts at quitting were more likely to drop out. Network analysis indicated a structural change in addiction-related variables after the intervention. This change showed an increased emphasis on motivation and psychological factors, while consumption-related measures became less central. SCP is effective in reducing cigarette consumption and CO levels, regardless of addiction severity. Adherence remains a challenge, requiring further exploration of the impact of psychosocial and environmental factors. This study provides valuable insights into the clinical challenges of SCP, highlighting the importance of improving adherence through targeted interventions, which can have a significant impact on public health by reducing tobacco-related morbidity and mortality.</p>
