Impact of Preservation Technology and Expiry Dates on EPQ Models and Partial Backlogging in Uncertain Environment
摘要
Stock management is one of the most critical components of the deteriorating commodities industry, which includes drugs, pharmaceuticals, food, and blood. It is vital to implement preservation techniques to ensure that they are useful for a longer time. Many inventory systems accommodate deterioration and use preservative technologies to monitor it. Preservation technology is used to keep the deterioration of products under control. In recent times, it has been observed that each and every product has a particular date of expiry. So the expiry date of a product plays a crucial role in the preservation technology used in industries. The current study looks at an EPQ model with ramp-type demand rate where preservation technologies are discussed along with the product expiration date and the products that are deteriorating. This paradigm accommodates shortages and partial backlogs. For making this model more realistic and to minimize the total cost, in this article, holding cost has been taken as the triangular neutrosophic, setup cost as the triangular dense intuitionistic number, and shortages cost as the triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number due to uncertainty. In this research, numerical examples are used to demonstrate the proposed model. To understand the influence of parameters on optimal solutions, sensitivity analysis has been done in this article. This work focuses on the development of the connection between the proposed model and the real world.
