<p>Green supply chain management (GSCM) has garnered significant attention as a strategic approach to promoting sustainable development and enhancing operational efficiency within the construction sector. While GSCM aligns with global initiatives to incorporate environmental considerations into supply chain practices, its implementation in Vietnam remains constrained by various barriers. This study systematically examines the factors influencing GSCM adoption by integrating expert surveys with rigorous analytical methods. Specifically, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) is used to consolidate individual drivers and barriers into latent constructs that represent core factors affecting GSCM application, while decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method is employed to explore the interrelationships and relative importance among these factors. The findings provide a comprehensive understanding of the underlying dynamics affecting GSCM practices, thereby supporting the development of strategic recommendations tailored to the specific context of Vietnam’s construction industry. Ultimately, this study contributes to the advancement of sustainable practices within the sector and lays a foundation for the broader adoption of GSCM principles, aligning with both national and global sustainability goals.</p>
