Formation of Collaboration Networks Among Russian Sociologists (2010–2021)
摘要
Due to the non-linear nature of the development of the sociological discipline in the Soviet time, and the existing inequality between central cities and regions in modern Russia, the community of Russian sociologists is characterized by a low level of integration at the local level and selective representation in the international scientific community. The research is aimed at studying the structure and patterns of collaboration in the scientific community of Russian sociologists in 2010–2021 by means of bibliometric network analysis. We analyze all scientific articles published by Russian authors in scientific journals indexed the electronic library eLibrary in the subject area of sociology in the observed time period (75,232 articles). We present the methodology for processing bibliographic data in Russian language for studying collaboration networks of Russian scientists. Exponential Random Graph Modeling (ERGM) is used to test hypotheses in a collaborative network. This study identifies the primary trends and general structure of collaboration within the Russian sociological scientific community. It determines the most productive authors and identifies patterns that shape the structure of the collaboration network.
