<p>Android is widely regarded as one of the most esteemed and highly favored operating systems used globally and is gaining more active users exponentially. On the other hand, Malwares and Viruses are also exploiting these Android based mobile devices. Machine Learning is a promising and effective approach to detect Android Malware. Our paper provides a thorough examination of the identification of Android Malware through various methodologies employing both Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques. The Android operating system is briefly introduced, we then shift our focus to Malware and those which target Android devices. We introduce and summarize different Machine Learning approaches used using key perspectives. We analyze contemporary trends and then conclude with highlighting potential research scope. The research article is expected to assist scholars in acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the identification and examination of malicious software on the Android platform through the utilization of Machine Learning.</p>
