<p>The study aimed to design and evaluate how Djung Laboratory improves learning and teaching through digital technologies, increases flexibility in class management, develops students’ abilities, and enhances learning outcomes in on-site and online classrooms. In 2022–2023, the researchers used four methods to collect and evaluate data: in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and an open-ended questionnaire (learning diary). We confirmed that the Djung Laboratory aligns with digital interactive learning trends. In-depth interviews with four experts, three teachers, and three students revealed how to design the laboratory and how it can make on-site and online learning efficient. After that, the digital interactive laboratory’s design and testing in the lab demonstrated its capabilities. Experimental research assessed the laboratory’s effectiveness, and class observations and students’ learning diaries revealed its practical application and influence on collaborative learning. Combining these factors cuts expenses, creating an engaging, scalable learning environment. The value of the lab lies in its ability to facilitate both physical and virtual learning settings, fostering critical thinking and raising academic performance while making students happier. Due to its significant contribution to improving hybrid learning environments during and after the COVID-19 crisis, Djung Laboratory received a “gold medal” at the Japan Design, Idea, and Invention Expo 2022.</p>
