Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality for Immersive Collaboration: Mind and Material
摘要
Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are revolutionizing collaboration, learning, and digital interaction. This paper examines their transformative impact across four domains: (i) cognitive collaboration, focusing on collective problem-solving and idea-sharing in immersive settings; (ii) technological mediation, exploring how these tools redefine human connections; (iii) pedagogical transformation, analyzing their role in advancing experiential education; and (iv) material engagement, investigating interactions with blended virtual-physical environments. It highlights how AR/VR fosters dynamic teamwork, decision-making, and hands-on learning while addressing challenges like accessibility, usability, and balancing technology with human-centric design. The paper calls for future research to integrate diverse data sources and enhance AR/VR usability for sustained educational impact.
