An Agent-Centric Resilience Milieu for Blockchain-Driven Supply Chains
摘要
Supply chains are essential for delivering customized products and services that align with organizational commitments. They are expected to fulfill these commitments efficiently; however, disruptions can hinder operations and lead to deviations from anticipated outcomes. Identifying the exact location and cause of such disruptions is often challenging. To enhance supply chain resilience, we present a tailored framework that incorporates software agents within a blockchain-enabled supply chain to detect and localize disruptions. These agents identify real-time disruptions, raise exceptions, and facilitate dynamic mitigation strategies. Central to our approach is SCMException, a comprehensive user-defined exception package that includes categories such as MacroExceptions, MicroExceptions, TraceException, and BlockchainBasedException. This allows for the dynamic implementation of mitigation strategies to prevent bottlenecks. The system enables the precise identification of exception types and their occurrences, promoting timely responses. We illustrate the application of this framework in the context of a milk distribution supply chain and evaluate its performance in enhancing operational resilience.
