Impact Prediction of SGLT2 Inhibitors on Rising UTI Infections among Patients

摘要

Inhibitors of the sodium–glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) increase cardiovascular and renal outcomes in type 2 diabetes patients, particularly those with diabetic kidney disease. The US Food and Drug Administration, states that type 2 diabetes patients taking an SGLT2 have a maximum chance of urinary tract infection (UTI) or serious UTI. UTIs are one of the main reasons of morbidity and comorbidity in patients who are suffering with other illnesses, and they account for the vast majority of health issues worldwide. It is important to know the factors that create UTIs as it helps in intervening quickly and easily to control the disease. This research aims to analysis the impact of SGLT2 inhibitors on diabetic and heart patients in India and to study the impact of SGLT2 inhibitors on increasing UTI infections among patients. A variety of dataset is gathered from WHO and analyzed using neural networks. Samples and regular laboratory tests for selected underlying conditions were used to collect data on the factors linked to UTI. The study is focused on India and the paper finds UTI patients due to SGLT2 inhibitors with respect to rural, urban, living habits, age group, gender, demography and taking into account other illness of a patient. The output of the paper is obtained for a variety of parameters for efficient data analysis and the paper draws a clear conclusion regarding the role of SGLT2 inhibitors in spreading UTI infections across India.
