Improving Reliability in Distribution Systems through Optimal Allocation of Distributed Generators, Network Reconfiguration and Capacitor Placement
摘要
The primary goal of this research is to come up with innovative solutions for handling network reconfiguration, DG placement, and capacitor deposition issues in power distribution networks to reduce power loss, improve voltage profiles and also reliability enhancement of the system. For addressing these loss minimization procedures, there are various substantial heuristic methods accessible. It is incredibly tough to choose one appropriate algorithm among all provided approaches to support all conditions due to the various aims. While existing algorithms provide a wide range of techniques, some of them fail to reach the global optimal point. In this work, modified whale optimization algorithm (MWOA) method is employed to discover the best solution for the reconfiguration, DG placement, and capacitor placement problems. On typical radial test systems, the applicability of proposed procedures is confirmed at various stress levels. The proposed work has been carried out in MATLAB software, the simulated outcomes appear to be promising. The numerical results show that the suggested strategy was able to obtain the optimal answer with great accuracy using a small number of calculations. The findings imply that network reconfiguration with DG and capacitor placement unit installation reduces power loss and improves voltage profile better than the other combinations investigated.
