Analysis of Digitization Impact on Indian Economy in the Context of COVID Pandemic

As COVID-19 poses several challenges to society, the government and individuals are shifting to a new lifestyle. The innovative measures taken on the pandemic society have shown both positive and negative consequences on the Indian economy. In this regard, it is critical to evaluate the effect of digitalization on Indian economic development over the course of the epidemic. The objective of this research is to investigate the impression of digitalization on economic growth, with the primary goal of examining the pillars of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The research determines the impact of digitalization using Network Readiness Index (NRI) data from 2015 to 2020.This analysis applies to the Cobb –Douglas model and Residual Diagnostic model to percept the usage of digital technology. The year 2019–2020 has the highest utilization of digital tools and techniques by different pillars of ICT, especially, individual usage M has profound benefits. Thus, the CD model proved as an efficient, productive function about increase GDP. The achieved results indicate that the individual usage of ICT has positively increased the GDP. The speed and reliability of digital technologies for individual usage have envisioned the ICT's importance to the Indian economy.
