Optimization of Glass and Concrete Waste Recycling Processes for Road Construction Applications
摘要
This research aimed to study the behavior of clay mixtures incorporating glass and concrete waste for use in road construction. The primary objective was to stabilize clay, which often experiences swelling and sliding issues, by modifying its geotechnical properties through the addition of these recycled materials. The study also sought to address the high demand for clay in Morocco’s public works sector, while mitigating the environmental impact and overexploitation of natural clay resources. The results demonstrated that the incorporation of glass and concrete reduces the clay’s swelling and compaction indices, thus opening up new possibilities for the reuse of these materials in civil engineering, particularly in road construction.
