Development Optimization of Computer Programs for Asphalt Pavement Structure Based on Burmister’s Layered Theory from Application Perspective

Based on Burmister’s layered theory (BLT), the reliability of two sets of computer programs for asphalt pavement structure analysis, namely KENLAYER and GAMES was firstly verified, then their advantages and disadvantages in terms of model development, computation, and result output were compared, and certain important insights on subsequent development and optimization of computer programs with similar functions were ventured forward. In addition, feasible solutions to two deficiencies in the post-processing of GAMES itself were proposed for convenient application.
