Strategy for synergistic binders in sulfide-based solid electrolyte membrane
摘要
Solid electrolyte membranes play a vital role in the practical application of sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries. However, developing electrolyte membranes with outstanding mechanical and (electro-)chemical properties remains a challenge. Herein, a novel low-polarity nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) + non-polar styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) synergistic binder strategy is adopted to promote the fabrication of wet slurry-based sulfide electrolyte membranes. Notably, binders with different properties not only affect the mechanical properties and ion transport of the electrolyte film but also have a significant impact on the stress resistance of the composite cathode. The all-solid-state battery consists of a high ionic conductivity SBR + NBR membrane (3.67 mS·cm−1), LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2 cathode (NMC811), and lithium-metal anode protected by ZnO-graphite, exhibiting excellent cycle stability. The findings deepen comprehension of the effects of binders in solid-state batteries and provide a direction for enhancing all-solid-state battery technology.
