An Event-Triggered Controller for a Quadrotor System with External Disturbances

In this paper, we propose an event-triggered controller for the control of a quadrotor with external disturbances. Quadrotor systems are widely used in various applications, and robust control under external disturbances is essential for their safe operation. First, we present system modeling in state-space form and then present an event-triggered controller with a triggering-condition for hovering control of a quadrotor. Then, we provide a system analysis showing that the controlled system remains bounded. We also present a parameter selection guide based on the system analysis to improve control performance. The validity of our proposed control scheme is verified through experiments. Experimental results confirm that the proposed method improves robustness against external disturbances while reducing unnecessary control updates.
