A Pilot Protection Scheme of Transformers via Mapped Current Distribution Features in 2-D Coordinate Plane
摘要
Conventional differential protection schemes of transformers are prone to malfunction due to current transformer (CT) saturation caused by fault current. Aiming at this problem, a novel pilot protection scheme of transformers is proposed exploiting distribution features of mapped points that come from mapping current samples at both sides of a transformer onto a 2-dimensional (2-D) coordinate plane. The proposed scheme can correctly identify various fault conditions of transformers accompanied with CT saturation, and is robust to abnormal samples. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified via simulation and dynamic analog experiment tests.
