Electromagnetic Modeling of Nonlinear Features for a Canned Switched Reluctance Motor Using an FE Assisted Fitting Network
摘要
Modeling and analysis of magnetic field non-linear features is essential for an electrical motor drive. Such features typically stem from the sides of magnetic saturation and electromagnetic interaction. In this paper, both sides are analyzed by developing a simple and fast fitting network with help of finite element (FE) method. The model is applied on a novel canned switched reluctance motor (CSRM), which highlights the specific non-linear features including variation of airgap reluctance, magnetic saturation on the rotor-stator poles and electromagnetic interaction due to the use of cans. Comparative simulation and measurements show that the developed model is fast and dimensionless, and achieves the desired accuracy.
