A Novel Static Voltage Stability Region Boundary Generation Method Combining Analytics with Predictive Correction

To achieve fast and accurate calculation of static voltage stability region boundary (SVSRB), an SVSRB construction method combining analytics with predictive correction is proposed. This method uses an approximate analytical algorithm to calculate the quadratic approximate expression of the SVSRB. Then a certain number of approximate stable critical points are obtained based on the approximate quadratic expression, which are used as the initial values of the Newton downhill method to search for more accurate stable critical points. After obtaining a sufficient number of stable critical points, the trust region reflection least squares method is used to obtain the coefficients of the quadratic approximate expression of the SVSRB. Finally, an SVSRB-based voltage stabilization probability assessment method is proposed. Simulation results on the WSCC 3-machine 9-bus test system and the IEEE 118-bus test system validate the advantages of the proposed method in terms of accuracy and efficiency compared to other algorithms.
