Design of Single-Winding Arrangement for Arbitrary Multiphase Bearingless Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

摘要

A novel single-winding method for arbitrary multi-phase bearingless permanent magnet synchronous motors is proposed. This method describes the winding design steps in detail based on the magnetic motive force star graph. The constraint relationship of the design parameters such as the number of phases m, the number of slots Z, and the pole pair number P of the motor are analyzed. Thus, the pole–slot combination law suitable for motors with different phase numbers is derived. In addition, the number of harmonics that cause torque ripple and suspension ripple is also analyzed. Therefore, recommended pole-slot numbers and winding schemes are provided. Finally, taking the six-phase singe-winding bearingless permanent magnet synchronous motor as an example, the finite element comparison simulation of the motor model is verified. The results show that the single-winding wiring method proposed in this paper can make the motor produce stable torque and suspension force at the same time. The effectiveness of this method in improving motor performance is verified.
