A New High Gain DC–DC Boost Converter Using L-C-L Structure Based Switched Inductor Topology

The power generation from solar PV system is more prominence to meet up the power demand. But, it has low output characteristics. The developments in DC-DC converter topologies has huge improvements in solar PV system. How the energy is supplied from solar PV to load efficiently depends on the choice and performance of dc-dc converter system. This article proposes a high-gain nonisolated DC-DC converter topology with dual active switch for solar PV power generation systems. The proposed high voltage gain converter is developed by utilizing both hybrid switched inductor and boosting cell. This paper presents the proposed converter operation waveforms in Continuous Conduction Mode. A high gain non isolated DC-DC converter is designed with low voltage, current ripples in output waveforms and low stress on switches and diodes. The converter is analyzed in steady state to obtain power stage specifications of converter. The Performance of the proposed converter is compared with other high gain converters which stated earlier is explained. Theoretical results are examined with the results obtained from the simulation results of proposed converter. This L-C-L (inductor-capacitor-inductor) structure based symmetrical hybrid switched inductor (SH-SI) with boost cell (L-C) is validated with 50% of duty cycle, 50 kHz, 250W. The development and design parameters of converters are explained. An easy and simplified approach to obtain high voltage conversion ratio with high power in the output side of DC-DC converter is established and represented.
