Within the sphere of sustainable agriculture and resource utilization, palm trees emerge as a cornerstone, yet their residues and biomasses often remain underutilized, posing environmental and economic challenges, these components, found abundantly in both natural environments and cultivated gardens worldwide, encompass a diverse array of species. However, the journey from palm cultivation to product extraction leaves behind a significant volume of residues, posing environmental challenges while harboring untapped economic potential. This study investigates the literature to effectively valorize palm tree residues, aiming to reduce waste, enhance resource efficiency, and create new revenue streams. Some information about well-known cultivations of Palm Trees in Brazil’s region and its applications as value-added materials are addressed, focusing on the valorization of wastes and biomasses substantially consumed worldwide. The review demonstrates the potential for palm tree residue utilization to mitigate environmental impact, promote sustainable development, and advance circular economy principles through gathered data and concepts from high-impact articles, playing a crucial role in addressing the challenges posed by the growing demand for eco-friendly applications and development of new materials from waste and biomass, that could represent a potential alternative for decreasing accumulation of waste without proper management. Moreover, it underscores the importance of recognizing and capitalizing on these untapped resources to address global waste management and resource scarcity challenges. Its comprehensiveness and accessibility make this paper a valuable overview and resource of information for those interested in the sustainable management of biomass residues originated from palm trees.
