<p>Fleming’s proposal of a molar sub-enterprise in culturo-behavior science offers a promising research agenda for behavior analysis and revitalizes a field that, in my view, has stagnated under the metacontingency model. However, I remain skeptical that this proposal constitutes a true analysis of culture. I argue that the current conceptual and methodological tools of behavior analysis—rooted in selectionism and experimental models—may be insufficient to address the complexity of cultural phenomena. Advancing this field requires not only recognizing these limitations but also critically re-examining its foundational assumptions.</p>
