摘要

In the construction industry, the maintenance of heavy machinery, such as boom placers, is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This research presents a comprehensive case study using Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods to design an optimal maintenance strategy for a boom placer. The objective is to minimize downtime, reduce repair costs, and enhance machine reliability through a structured decision-making approach. The approach is based on SAW, TOPSIS and VIKOR, to assess and rank various maintenance approaches based on criteria such as cost, equipment reliability, time, and ease of implementation. Data from the construction site, including historical performance, failure records, and expert opinions, were used to input the decision-making process. The findings reveal that by applying MCDM methods, the company was able to identify a balanced maintenance approach that aligned with operational goals and budget constraints. This research highlights the effectiveness of MCDM in addressing complex decision-making problems in maintenance management for construction equipment and provides a robust framework for other organizations seeking to optimize their asset maintenance strategies.
