<p>To assess the impact of flower visits by <i>Apis mellifera</i> on the production of <i>Capsicum annuum</i>, investigations were conducted on the behavior of this bee on Solanaceae flowers from August to December in 2021 and 2022 at Madem. During each investigation period, 540 flowers in the bud stage were labeled and divided into four treatments: 120 unprotected flowers; 120 flowers protected from insects using gauze bags; 200 flowers protected from insects, which were uncovered once for a visit by <i>A. mellifera</i> before being shielded once more; and 100 insect-protected flowers, left exposed and shielded once more, free from insect or other organism visits. The activity of <i>A. mellifera</i> was observed in treatments 1 and 3, where worker bees intensely harvested pollen and nectar from <i>C. annuum</i>. The mean foraging speed was 8.12 flowers per minute, with an average abundance of 136 individuals per 1000 flowers. <i>Capsicum annuum</i> is a highly polliniferous and faintly nectariferous plant for bees. Through its pollination efficiency, <i>A. mellifera</i> increased the fruiting rate by 12.94%, the mean number of seeds per fruit by 23.63%, the percentage of normal seeds by 11.31%, and the mean weight of 100 seeds by 35.66%. The contribution of <i>A. mellifera</i> to germination rates was 15.29%. It is recommended to protect and establish <i>A. mellifera</i> colonies near <i>C. annuum</i> fields to enhance pepper production and improve pollen yield as a hive product.</p><p>Clinical trial number: not applicable.</p>
