<p>The housefly, <i>Musca domestica</i> L., is a significant global pest known for its rapid development of resistance to insecticides, which necessitates the implementation of effective pest management strategies. This study investigates the effects of traditional diets and <i>Nicotiana tabacum</i> (tobacco) extract on transgenerational parameters in <i>M. domestica</i>. Laboratory experiments utilized <i>N. tabacum</i> diets along with varying concentrations of <i>N. tabacum</i> extract. Key parameters assessed included pre-adult survival rates, male and female longevity, age at first oviposition (APOP), total number of oviposition periods (TPOP), oviposition frequency, fecundity, and overall longevity. Additionally, population parameters such as intrinsic rate of increase (r), net reproductive rate (R0), mean generation time (T), finite rate of increase (λ), and age-specific maternity (lxmx) were evaluated using specialized software. The results indicated that higher concentrations of <i>N. tabacum</i> extract were required for 20% mortality (LC20) compared to lower concentrations (LC10). Exposure to LC10 resulted in reduced pre-adult survival and slight alterations in various parameters compared to LC20. However, both LC10 and LC20 exhibited no significant differences in certain population parameters when compared to the control group. Notably, LC10 demonstrated a higher net reproductive rate (R0) than LC20. These findings highlight the potential of <i>N. tabacum</i> extract to influence the reproductive potential of houseflies, underscoring its relevance for integrated pest management strategies.</p>
