<p><i>Baetis</i> (<i>Rhodobaetis</i>) <i>stoffer </i><b>sp. nov.</b> is described based on the larval materials collected from the Neeru stream of Jammu &amp; Kashmir, North India. It is the first record of the subgenus <i>Rhodobaetis</i> Jacob from India. The larvae of the new species are distinguished from all other representatives of <i>Rhodobaetis</i> and shows close similarity with the Western Palearctic species <i>Baetis</i> (<i>Rhodobaetis</i>) <i>baskan</i> Soldán by the reduced number of spines in the costal margin of tergalii II–VII.</p>

Baetis (Rhodobaetis) stoffer sp. nov. is described based on the larval materials collected from the Neeru stream of Jammu & Kashmir, North India.
