摘要

Lycopus lucidus Turcz. ex Benth., a species within the Lamiaceae family, has been documented as a novel addition to the flora of India from Manipur, Northeast India. We highlighted the comprehensive morphological descriptions, distribution, phenology, and conservation status. The plant is characterized by horizontal rhizomes, a quadrangular stem, opposite and decussate leaves, verticillaster inflorescences, a fused calyx, a white corolla adorned with glandular dots, a gynobasic style with a bifid stigma, and obovate nutlets. Detailed morphological descriptions, colour photographs, and identification keys of Lycopus have been provided for straightforward recognition. The conservation status of L. lucidus was assessed according to the standards and guidelines established by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List Categories and Criteria and provisionally categorized as vulnerable (VU). The plant was discovered in a relatively small area significantly affected by anthropogenic influence.
