Generalized Marginal Cumulative Homogeneity Model for Multi-way Contingency Tables

In multi-way contingency table analysis, the marginal symmetry model is often considered to elucidate the relationship between categorical variables. Although a model with a symmetry and inhomogeneity structure based on the logit transformation has been proposed, in some situations transformations other than the logit transformation may be more plausible. Herein we consider a new model based on a generalized transformation. We also provide a decomposition of the marginal symmetry model using the proposed model and examples via real data and simulation studies.
