The Determination of Material Parameters of a Gurson–Tvergaard–Needleman Damage Model to Predict Experimental Results
摘要
The Gurson–Tvergaard–Needleman (GTN) concept is used in the present study to numerically predict an experimentally obtained J-R curve. The experimental findings are strongly related to the numerically derived J-R curve that is used to measure initiation fracture toughness. J-R curves obtained experimentally and numerically, are used to predict the fracture behavior of a cracked CT specimen. The current study presented a combined phenomenological and fracture mechanics strategy for predicting future crack initiation and growth in a numerically predicted J-R curve derived from tensile test data for the investigated material.
