Research on the Optimization of Material Transportation Path for Open-Pit Mines Based on Genetic Algorithm

This paper proposes an algorithm to optimize the path planning of trucks in open-pit mines. With the shortest transportation path and the minimum cost as the goal, this problem is solved by quasi-point set genetic algorithm (QPS-GA), and the truck is placed on the optimal transportation route and loading and unloading point as much as possible. Under the premise that the service level of the intermediate bridge body of the open-pit coal mine can only serve the 938 and 944 levels, the algorithm includes 8 working side loading points, 4 inner dump unloading points, and a total of 147 transportation path schemes. The path planning results obtained by iteration 100 times are more in line with the actual production application, which can effectively reduce the production cost. The iteration results show that the optimized transportation cost is reduced by about 18.54% compared with that before optimization, which provides a feasible and effective solution for the rational arrangement of transportation equipment production and transportation in open-pit mines.
