<p>Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) is essential for both sustainable food production and livestock breeding. In cow reproduction, it has become a game-changing technology that is transforming the agricultural industry worldwide. These technologies, when combined with genomic selection, help to shorten the generation interval and speed up genetic advancement. The development of cattle businesses has a lot of promise, particularly in the tropics where ARTs are not yet widely used. The tropical and sub-tropical regions' increased output will result in lower greenhouse gas emissions, which will help combat issues with global warming and hunger. Hormonal synchronisation techniques have aided artificial insemination and embryo transfer, which have hastened genetic improvement and greatly increased cattle reproductive rates. However, controlling elements like environmental conditions, reproductive health, and nutrition is essential to the effectiveness of these technologies. Improved fertility results and sustainable livestock production can be achieved by combining these developments with best management methods. Sustainable livestock development may be made possible by the use of artificial intelligence technology. Since artificial intelligence maximises resource utilisation and efficiency, it is a suitable and useful technology for cattle. Additionally, it's a good technological development to feed the world's growing population. The purpose of this review is to examine how ARTs and artificial intelligence technologies can be utilised to evaluate breeding animals' fertility and to process and preserve gametes, thereby augmenting rather than replacing human labour.</p> Graphical abstract <p></p>
