<p>A mathematical model for the availability analysis of a Geothermal power plant using the concept of Fuzzy Universal Generating Function (FUGF) is presented. The study aims to quantify the availability of Geothermal power plant (GTPP). It has been done by considering the different components their interconnections in the system and modelled it with the help of triangular fuzzy number. Author developed a structure function, through Universal Generating Function (UGF), to compute the different states of GTPP. In the second step, author calculate the states of each component as triangular fuzzy number (TFN). The UGF and FUGF methods were compared for availability of Geothermal power plants and concluded that FUGF gives slightly higher availability values than UGF.</p>
