<p>The current study examined kindergarten teacher managers’ (KTMs) perceptions regarding the characteristics of incidents of aggressive behaviour of the educational staff members towards the children, concurrently examining in depth their perceptions of the causes of this behaviour and how it can be prevented or reduced. Participants were 35 KTMs who took part in individual semi-structured in-depth interviews. Findings show that KTMs perceive aggressive behaviour of kindergarten staff members towards the children as situations in which the member of staff loses control or emphasizes their superiority over the children. The causes for these aggressive behaviour incidents are unsuitability for working with children, inability to cope with discipline problems in the kindergarten, and home crises that affects kindergarten work. The prevention or reduction of incidents of aggressive behaviour lies in providing physical and mental support to kindergarten staff, in-service trainings courses on discipline problems, more extensive supervision, and awareness to the complexity of reporting.</p>
