The Influence of Fiber Volume and Corrugation on Wave Propagation Between Two Loosely Bonded PMFRC and Fiber-Reinforced Media

This article investigates the influence of fiber volume on the dispersive behaviour of Shear wave in a layered structure medium. The layered structure medium consists of a Piezo-Magnetic Fiber-Reinforced Composite (PMFRC) on top of an inhomogeneous fiber-reinforced half-space. The boundary is considered imperfect as well as corrugated. The dispersion relation for the SH wave has been derived in both magnetically open and short boundary conditions. Numerical data has been used to illustrate the effects of various parameters through graphical representations. As a result, it is observed that fiber volume has a significant impact on inhomogeneous parameters, corrugation parameters, loose bound parameters, piezomagnetic coefficients, and elastic parameters. This study provides valuable insights toward designing and optimization of surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices, transducers, Love wave sensors, etc.
