摘要

Purpose

The coupling of moving vibrators with sandwich plates on nonlinear elastic foundations holds significant reference value for the engineering design of vehicle-pavement systems and aircraft-runway systems. In this paper, the coupling vibration of a moving oscillator and the nonlinear elastic structure are modeled and analyzed.

Methods

Pavements or runways are always laminated nonlinear structures. The multi-layer elastic structure is modelled as a laminated plate on a nonlinear viscoelastic foundation and the vehicle is assumed to be a spring–mass–damper system. A partial differential equation is established, and then, the numerical solution is solved by Galerkin discretization method.

Results

The coupling vibration effect of the system is explored through the velocity of the oscillator. The influence of coupled system parameters on vibration behavior is investigated.

Conclusions

This work provides a clear method for selecting high-order truncation terms for nonlinear coupled vibration plate models. The influence of coupled vibration parameters on the system cannot be ignored, and may even cause structural resonance. However, the effect of foundation parameters on oscillator vibration is not significant.
