<p>In this research, the dynamic lift behavior during the pitching up and down process was investigated for three delta wing models with different leading-edge sweep-back angles (slender, semi-slender, and non-slender delta wing) under <i>k</i> = 0.137, 0.275, 0.55, 1.1, and 2. The results showed a lift hysteresis loop for all models during various reduced frequencies. Before <i>k</i> = 1.1, the hysteresis of the lift coefficient was higher for the wing with a lower sweep angle due to substantial local suction with a large area on the upper surface of the non-slender wing. During the downstroke motion, the flow features were similar to the flow behind the flat plate without any formation of coherent vortices. For <i>k</i> &gt; 1.1, the highest lift force was related to the semi-slender wing and the lowest to the non-slender. Also, at high pitch-rate motion, the lift coefficient and vorticity of the vortex core increase.</p>
