Background <p>MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have emerged as important regulatory molecules affecting various aspects of endometrial cancer research, including carcinogenesis, progression, and therapeutic targeting. Understanding the research landscape and trends in this field is crucial for identifying knowledge gaps and future research directions.</p> Objective <p>This study aims to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research publications ex-amining the relationship between microRNAs and endometrial cancer between 2008 and 2025.</p> Methods <p>A systematic search was conducted in the Web of Science (WoS) database using the search strategy “endometrial cancer” AND (microRNA or miR or miRNA). Articles published between January 1, 2008, and October 1, 2025, were included. Data extraction, deduplication, and analysis were performed us-ing the bibliometrix package in R Studio. Visualizations were created using biblioshiny. The analysis included publication trends, citation patterns, author productivity, country contributions, and keyword analysis.</p> Results <p>A total of 466 publications were analyzed. When examining the number of publications by year, the number peaked in 2021 (<i>n</i> = 67). Peixin Dong was the most prolific author with 11 publications. Torres et al. (2013) authored the most cited publication. When examining the number of publications by country, China ranked first with 319 publications (68.6%). The h-index of Wang Y., the most influential author publishing in this research field, was found to be 17. Basic research topics evolved from fundamental molecular mechanisms to clinical applications, with “invasion,” “metastasis,” and “proliferation” emerging as dominant keywords.</p> Conclusion <p>This bibliometric analysis provides valuable insights into the evolution and current state of endometrial cancer-miRNA research, revealing emerging trends, research focal points, and potential areas for future research.</p>

Background
