摘要

Background

We are sharing a case about a 50-year-old woman who was diagnosed with stage IIIC triple-negative inflammatory breast cancer (TNIBC) back in July 2023.

Case Presentation

Even after going through a tough treatment plan that included neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy, surgery, radiation, olaparib, and sacituzumab govitecan (SG), her condition progressed to metastatic stage IV in just 6 months. Notably, her disease demonstrated significant lymphovascular invasion and 12 of 27 positive lymph nodes at surgery, despite apparent clinical response.

Conclusion

This case illustrates clinical-pathologic discordance and underlines the urgent need for novel predictive biomarkers and therapeutic strategies.
